FABTECH 2016 Education Programming Provides a Competitive Edge through Leading Industry Speakers

Expert-led sessions cover all metal fabricating industry disciplines, available all 3 days of event

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 9, 2016 — (PRNewswire) — FABTECH 2016, North America's largest collaboration of technology, equipment and knowledge in the metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing industries, has scheduled a comprehensive education program of notable speakers to present on a variety of topics at the forefront of the industry. The lineup is comprised of more than 100 sessions, addressing the needs of attendees with basic, intermediate and advanced skill levels. The event takes place Nov. 16-18 in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The education component is one of the show's most valuable features and a critical component of FABTECH. Led by manufacturing experts from a variety of backgrounds, the in-depth sessions are designed to provide valuable and insightful programming to participants from all manufacturing disciplines. Each session will offer an inclusive setting, giving attendees the opportunity to sharpen their skills and network with colleagues, executives and thought leaders.

"FABTECH represents a wide range of manufacturing technologies and processes, so it's important to us that our educational programming reflects that diversity," said Mark Hoper, FMA show co-manager, FABTECH. "The most effective way to advance these highly specialized fields is through collaboration and exchanging ideas. If you work in the metal fabricating industry, and you want to learn how to improve, there is something at FABTECH for you."

The technical, operational and managerial sessions are divided into 12 tracks including cutting, lasers, finishing, forming and fabricating, lean, welding, management strategies, job shop solutions, stamping, automation, additive manufacturing and workforce development. This year's dynamic agenda features 65 new sessions, including a Laser Welding for Today's Fabricator Workshop on Thursday, Nov. 17, and a number of sessions that cover new developments in additive and smart manufacturing.

All sessions are organized by FABTECH 2016's five co-sponsors - SME; the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International; Precision Metalforming Association; Chemical Coaters Association International; and the American Welding Society. This ensures that the content covers manufacturing's expansive landscape, while also delivering the highest quality, most relevant information to attendees.

To better serve the varying levels of expertise among attendees, each session is categorized by experience level:

Basic - Recommended for the attendee who is new to the industry or needs a refresher on the topic.
Intermediate - Designed for the attendee who already has a basic understanding of the subject matter.
Advanced - Recommended for the attendee with several years of experience who is seeking more in-depth information.
The robust schedule yields unparalleled education, and in some cases, highly valuable continuing education credits. Those attending the Education Program will have the opportunity to earn professional development and educational credits from FABTECH's co-sponsoring organizations.
