TCT Asia 2016 Success Sets up Growth and Relocation for 2017 Edition

Following a hugely successful debut edition of TCT Asia in March 2015 and strong growth at the 2016 event, TCT Asia 2017 (Show dates: 8-10 March, 2017) is moving to Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), a larger and better equipped exhibition space for continued expansion.

Following the success of the second edition of TCT Asia, which took place in Shanghai, March 10-12, organisers VNU Rapid News Co., Ltd are delighted to announce a program of expansion for the event, including a move to a larger and better equipped exhibition space.

With 10,500 visitors over three days and a 45% increase in stand space the 2016 edition of TCT Asia showed the predicted levels of growth and set the perfect platform for continued expansion.

The number of companies represented on the show floor was up 10% on the inaugural 2015 show, and a number of exhibitors took the opportunity to demonstrate their confidence in the event and the region as whole with larger custom-built stands. In particular the number of metal additive manufacturing technologies had grown significantly at this year's show with several players like Bright Laser Technology, Farsoon, Union Tech and Syndaya 3D Technology Co., all displaying new machinery alongside established names like Concept Laser, SLM Solutions and Renishaw.

Several other companies chose TCT Asia as the platform to launch their latest technologies from industrial machines to desktop solutions and 3D scanners. Prismlab debuted its RP600 large-scale stereolithography-based printer, Raise3D brought its latest machines, the N2 and N2 Plus to the show floor.

Once again education was a huge part of TCT Asia, from the popular Inspired Minds classroom to the plethora of desktop machines designed specifically for that market. Tiertime chose to launch its new education initiative and held its first open classroom concept during the 3D Printing Summit. The Cool-Camp Education Program for K-12 has been designed to support regular school curricula and give students the tools to turn their ideas into tangible objects.

Chairman of VNU Rapid News Co., Ltd, Duncan Wood commented: "The second edition of TCT Asia built on the fantastic inaugural edition and strengthened the position of the event and the TCT brand globally. The immediate success that the show has enjoyed is down to the combination of operational expertise, industry intelligence and hard work that defines VNU Rapid News. We are delighted to have provided a world-class education and trading platform that has benefited our visitors, exhibitors, sponsors and speakers."
