EASY Product Finder Delivers Intuitive Search Tool to Specify Lenze Drive Solutions
Smart combination of intelligent filters and free text search gives engineers new freedom to achieve faster results
UXBRIDGE, MA - June 30, 2016 - A global leader and manufacturer of electrical and mechanical drives, motion control and automation technologies, Lenze announces the launch of the online EASY Product Finder. The easy-to-navigate and intuitive EASY Product Finder empowers machine designers and engineers to explore and specify Lenze engineered power drive, automation and motion control solutions.
The new online EASY Product Finder combines a free text search function with intelligent search filters. Infusing the engineering process with speed and efficiency, the technology behind the EASY tool incorporates similar mechanisms deployed successfully by major online stores and portals. The online tool requires no special skills, except those most customers have already acquired using computers, laptops and smartphones to shop online.
The EASY Product Finder can be used to compare and contrast products, generate torque speed characteristic curves for different motor inverter combinations, set filters or launch searches over keywords, products or type references. After entering up to five process values, the EASY application swiftly proposes an initial design. Powered by customizable filters, search results may be placed in a shopping cart for additional consideration or sent to Lenze with an offer inquiry, or the CAD data can be expedited directly to a customers design team.

Using AI to Collect & Leverage Data
Data is the foundation of Industry 4.0. While skilled workers will always be essential, data is reshaping the manufacturing landscape, enabling automation of repetitive tasks, empowering smarter decision-making with AI assistance, and reducing defects and downtime. This shift allows small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMMs) to compete more effectively on quality, speed, and cost. While AI and machine learning systems typically require around two years to collect enough data to reach their full potential, manufacturers can start seeing benefits almost immediately with basic analysis tools and dashboards. Our MEP National NetworkTM expert explains how in this Manufacturing Tomorrow article.
