Cites flexibility in security, price, and deployment as main reasons for selection
InetSoft Technology, a pioneer in data intelligence, analytics, and reporting, announced that PCB board manufacturer Unicircuit has selected InetSoft's Style Scope for company wide production efficiency dashboards and reporting.
Unicircuit was looking to create dashboards that could be shared throughout the company that would help keep track of how efficiently production was being performed day to day. These dashboards are utilized by senior and process managers for tracking real time business events, business metrics to measure efficiencies in material usage and product yield data via touchscreens on the shop floor, and general factors that are critical to business success.
One thing that helped InetSoft make the grade was the flexible pricing structure they offered, giving Unicircuit the option to only pay for the features that they really needed, resulting in large savings overall compared to other solutions. They also found that the overwhelming majority of dashboard solutions were cloud-hosted only, which raised security concerns. In addition to allowing for on premise deployment, InetSoft's Style Scope offered a flexibility in security permissions that was unprecedented.
"When showing our data scientists how to use the tool, I realized that they really weren't used to having this kind of flexibility when it came to security," explains Steven Oh, Manager of IT at Unicircuit. "They were thrilled to learn that they could set up different data tables isolating specific data for departments, and assign individual access permissions as well."
"At InetSoft, we know that there's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all BI deployment," expresses Mark Flaherty, Chief Marketing Officer at InetSoft. "That's why our tools are designed to give maximum flexibility and customizability in all areas, from security permissions, to datasource connections, to white labelling options, to even our pricing structures."
InetSoft's Style Scope is a data intelligence platform. At its foundation is a powerful data mashup engine that enables fast and flexible transformation of data from disparate sources, which can either supplement or obviate a data warehouse solution. At the development level, a unified interface allows for easy and advanced data manipulation and design of interactive dashboards, visual analyses, and published reporting. At the consumption level, self-service is maximized for a range of users, from casual business or consumer-type browsers, to power users and data scientists. As a cloud-ready, fully scalable enterprise-grade platform with granular security, multi-tenancy support, and multiple integration points, it serves both enterprises and solution providers. In either environment, ease of deployment and ease of use are chief development principles that help lower the time investment and total cost of ownership - and make the solution attractive to organizations of any size, with or without BI expertise.
