The German company offers now an extended variety of connector solutions: ODU AMC®, ODU AMC® High-Density and ODU MINI-SNAP®. The ODU AMC® High-Density connector series offer high performance data transmission, high reliability and easy handling. The product portfolio includes a USB 3.0, USB 2.0, Ethernet and an HDMI option. The USB 3.0 data transmission rate is up to 5Gbit/s, the USB 2.0 data transfer rates up to 480Mbit/s, the Ethernet CAT5 data transfer rates up to 1Gbit/s and the HDMI 2.0 data transfer rates up to 8.16 Gbit/s.

Other product features include significantly reduced weight and fully integrated cable assembly solutions, watertight protection class IP 68 (up to 20m), up to 5,000 mating cycles durability, Break-Away function for maximum safety, rugged & non-reflective surfaces, salt spray resistance, high-speed data transfer capability and an operating temperature range of -51° C (-60° F) to +125° C (+257° F).

ODU AMC® is an advanced and highly reliable connector solution with Push-Pull locking or Break-Away function. This connector series offers a versatile contact configuration: signal, power, high/low voltage transfer and coax possible within one connector. With a 5,000 mating cycles durability, excellent data transmission, watertight protection IP 68 & IP 69 and optimized mechanical and color keying, ODU AMC® is a lightweight, small and easy to handle connector for vision system applications.

ODU MINI-SNAP® is a miniature circular connector with Push-Pull locking in a metal housing. The advanced connector benefits of 5,000 mating cycles durability, safe and secure locking mechanism, 90° elbow plug, field termination, various housing and contact inserts options, protection class IP 50 and IP 68.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
