senswork Showcases AI-Powered Surface Inspection and High-Resolution 3D Quality Control at IMTS 2026

At Booth #135470 in the German Pavilion, the company will use two exhibits to demonstrate how AI-powered machine vision and high-resolution 3D inspection enable reliable quality assurance in manufacturing. AI-based detection of surface cracks with Cognex In-Sight 3800

Johnson City, September 08, 2026 - senswork will showcase innovative solutions for industrial quality control at IMTS in Chicago from September 14 to 19, 2026. At Booth #135470 in the German Pavilion, the company will use two exhibits to demonstrate how AI-powered machine vision and high-resolution 3D inspection enable reliable quality assurance in manufacturing.

AI-based detection of surface cracks with Cognex In-Sight 3800

In the first exhibit, senswork demonstrates the automatic detection and classification of surface cracks using the Cognex In-Sight 3800 Edge Learning smart camera. The integrated AI technology enables reliable inspection even with natural variations between individual housing.
The Edge Learning technology learns characteristic defect features and can thus identify and evaluate surface cracks with high accuracy. The exhibit illustrates how embedded AI systems make inspection processes more robust and reduce the effort required for setting up and maintaining inspection systems.

3D inspection of sealing beads with Micro-Epsilon surfaceCONTROL
With its second exhibit, senswork demonstrates how sealing tracks on automotive components can be reliably inspected using high-precision 3D measurement technology. This is where Micro-Epsilon's high-resolution 3D Snapshot scanner, surfaceCONTROL, comes into play, capturing the entire component surface in a single scan.

The solution captures the complete 3D profile of the sealing beads and checks quality characteristics such as geometry, height, width, and continuity. This ensures that the seal has been applied correctly and meets the quality requirements of automotive production.
The complete three-dimensional capture enables a precise evaluation of the seal's geometry and lays the foundation for reliable quality control.

Machine vision for quality inspection
With these two exhibits, senswork presents practical solutions for industrial quality assurance. They demonstrate how AI-based image processing and high-resolution 3D snapshot technology can contribute to process reliability, increased efficiency, and reduced scrap.

Visit senswork at IMTS 2026 in the German Pavilion, Booth #135470, and experience innovative technologies for industrial quality assurance firsthand.

PickerPal Products provides full case pick module protection to protect employees from falls.

PickerPal has two independent, spring-loaded arms that are self closing, which is preferred by OSHA. 3 arms are used when a kick plate is required. OSHA states that when an employee is within 4' of the edge, the area changes from a pallet position to a, "walking/working surface," which requires a kick plate or a third arm. The spring-loaded arms open on contact with the loaded skid and close on their own as products are off-loaded. This design provides multiple benefits: • Top arms close as product is removed, creating a safety gate, and the third arm closes when the empty pallet is removed. • Empty pallet positions are no longer a safety hazard. • Each are is easily replaced without removing the entire assembly.
