Roboticom Announces New Distribution and Innovation Partnership with Forged Path Automation
Partnership to leverage intuitive software, industry experience to develop integrated, turnkey process automation solutions
LANDRUM, S.C. (March 10, 2026) — Roboticom, a manufacturer of easy-to-use robots for repeatable manufacturing processes such as cutting, sanding and finishing, has teamed up with Forged Path Automation (FPA), a company founded to deliver turnkey process robotic cells and entire systems from initial design to installation, training and ongoing support. This partnership aims to increase the reach of Roboticom's easy-to-use solutions while expanding the available product line to best suit the needs of manufacturers across the U.S.
At the heart of Roboticom's robots is its proprietary software ARPP®, which simplifies controls for easy training, faster programming and seamless implementation on the production floor. Staff can be taught how to use the platform in a matter of days, compared to the industry standard of weeks to months, and the system is transferable to a number of automated tasks.
FPA was founded in September 2025 to serve as a partner and authorized U. S. distributor for Roboticom. Among its founders is Chris Urban, who has spent the past 25 years as a manufacturing leader, starting, building and directing multiple teams and businesses globally.
"Typically, on a manufacturing line, you have multiple processes with different programming languages and unique skillsets for each operation. The Roboticom software equalizes the playing field, ensuring faster training and reduced staffing requirements," said Urban. "Going forward, we envision a manufacturing plant where every function can utilize this same software for flexible, lower-cost operation."
Roboticom's primary product for industrial applications is SandRob™, a finishing solution that offers automated capabilities for tasks such as sanding, polishing, trimming, carving and milling. It is extremely accurate for intricate detail work and can be used on a variety of materials, including stone, composites, plastics and metals, across various shapes and sizes. Automating these functions can help with several common priorities in the manufacturing industry, such as solving staffing and skills shortages, minimizing repetitive tasks without compromising precision and reducing workers' exposure to hazardous materials.
As a partner, FPA will leverage its contacts across industries such as gas turbine, automotive, aerospace and industrial manufacturing to increase the reach of Roboticom's solutions. Additionally, FPA will serve as a resource for its customers, offering true turnkey process automation end-to-end. This includes initial design recommendations, support with tooling and fixtures, installation and training and ongoing support and troubleshooting. The two companies will also work together to develop additional automated solutions for integrated lines built around Roboticom's software.
"They've laid the foundation, and now we're coming in to help them build the house," said Urban. "Our team has decades of experience in the manufacturing world. We know the challenges that the industry is facing, and we know how this software and these robots can be a game changer."
