Factory Reboot – Introducing New Technology & Blood into Your Operation
Feb. 11 9:45 – 10:30 a.m.

Baby Boomers are retiring and taking with them the inherent knowledge that manufacturers find they cannot easily replace with Millennials. As robots become smaller, more autonomous, and able to automate a wider range of manufacturing tasks, these jobs need refreshed. This panel will dig deep into the new technology and give attendees greater insight into better practices to guarantee success while discussing the lessons learned through industry examples.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?  Any educational sessions, pavilions etc. you plan on attending?

While we are attending the show largely to connect with our customers, and those who we hope will become customers, the expo is a good opportunity for our team to explore the innovative products and technology that will be on display.

Give us your thoughts on what the future holds for manufacturers and automation technology.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) promises unprecedented productivity growth.

Key motivators for companies to join this revolution are flexible manufacturing and production efficiency. Each plant team must understand these concepts and apply it to their own needs for efficiency and effectiveness.

According to the latest polls, 4 out of 10 manufacturers have little to no visibility into the real-time status of their manufacturing processes and an even higher percentage are utilizing at least some equipment that is far past its intended lifespan. Of course, joining the next industrial revolution comes at a cost, but if we put a dollar value on downtime and evaluate the cost benefit of the expected outcomes, it is hard to argue with the benefits of implementing smart manufacturing concepts.
