IMTS - C-Labs Introduces Machine Monitor to Manufacturers

Simplified IoT solution gives smaller manufacturers live information from new and legacy machines

BELLEVUE, Wash., Sept. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- C-Labs Corporation, an award-winning provider of software for the industrial Internet of Things (IoT), today announced the availability of Machine Monitor, a new product to provide operational awareness to machine operators, plant managers, and business leaders in manufacturing organizations.

According to a PwC survey, 65% of US manufacturers are not yet collecting or using IoT data to enhance their manufacturing operations, despite availability of the technology. In C-Labs' experience, this is especially true among smaller firms lacking IoT expertise and wanting "out-of-the-box" solutions that are safe, secure, and simple to set-up and use.

For smaller manufacturers and machine shops, C-Labs Machine Monitor simplifies the creation of industrial grade IoT solutions without side-stepping security. Machine Monitor is based on the award-winning Factory-Relay product available to larger companies.

"Smaller manufacturers told us they wanted the benefits that larger industrial companies were getting from remote and mobile access to live data, especially with older machines," said Chris Muench, CEO of C-Labs. "Machine Monitor provides visibility to machine state information from anywhere, anytime, on any device, facilitating efficient operations while protecting industrial equipment from cyberattacks."

C-Labs is demonstrating Machine Monitor at the OPC Conference on September 15, 2016 in conjunction with the Industrial Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago. Factory-Relay is also on display throughout IMTS in the OPC Foundation booth, E-4147.
