Microscan Demonstrates Worry-Free Electronics Traceability Solutions at IPC APEX EXPO 2016

Microscan will demonstrate new MicroHAWK Barcode Readers from Booth #2632 at the IPC APEX EXPO 2016, March 15-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A. Visitors are invited to see live demos of MicroHAWK and learn how these web-based imagers can read any code on any part, auto-enhance imaging to read codes on different PCB colors, and perform out of the box with one minute of setup time.

Microscan, a global technology leader in barcode, machine vision, verification, and lighting solutions, announces that it will demonstrate new MicroHAWK Barcode Readers, the first to offer industrial decoding power on a flexible, web-based platform, from Booth #2632 at the IPC APEX EXPO 2016. A forum for the worlds leading technology for automation in electronics manufacturing, this expo will take place March 15-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A.

At IPC APEX, Microscan will offer live demonstrations of the industrys most state-of-the-art barcode reading suite: MicroHAWK series imagers and the browser-based WebLink user interface. The MicroHAWK platform is the first to feature fully web-based controls using the WebLink interface, which allows users to adjust reader settings remotely and monitor results in real time from any web-enabled device. With MicroHAWK and WebLink, line changeovers can be easily accommodated in just a few clicks from any common web browser, without manually adjusting readers within equipment or on the line. Visitors to IPC APEX are invited to visit the Microscan booth to see live demos of MicroHAWK and learn how these web-based imagers are able to read any code on any part, adjust for new codes on the fly, auto-enhance imaging to read codes on different PCB colors, and perform out of the box with as little as one minute of setup time for new jobs. The software that powers MicroHAWK is stored on the imagers themselves, offering universal job portability so that switching decode parameters, changing devices, saving and recalling jobs, and even scaling up to Microscans advanced barcode reading software is made simpler than ever. Visitors are invited to control demos from the web and to experience WebLinks intuitive controls and remote monitoring for flexible and worry-free data acquisition, tracking, and traceability for SMT lines, test fixtures, and more.
Released in September 2015, MicroHAWK is a major innovation in user-centered engineering, offering the worlds smallest, most intuitive industrial barcode reading platform ever to reach the market. The MicroHAWK product suite reimagines barcode reading as a pervasively accessible technology, free from device compatibility obstacles or the need for specialized knowledge. No software to install, no compatibility obstacles, no experience needed. Just plug in and open a browser to access WebLink, and then take control of an array of modular hardware options for advanced decoding. With three micro-form-factor imagers and the WebLink interface, this comprehensive barcode reading platform decodes any symbol in any application with unprecedented flexibility, compatibility, and ease of use. From the tiny ID-20 OEM Barcode Reader with simple USB connectivity, to the flexible IP54-rated ID-30 Miniature Barcode Reader with corner-exit cable, to the ID-40 Industrial Ethernet Barcode Reader - the worlds smallest IP65/67-rated imager - any MicroHAWK reader can be uniquely configured for ideal value and performance.
For more information about MicroHAWK, visit Microscan at http://www.microscan.com or at Booth #2632 at [IPC APEX EXPO 2016. Microscans dedicated electronics solutions team will be available throughout the show to discuss how the latest devices for tracking and traceability in electronics adapt to meet unpredictable variables without additional configuration, unwanted downtime, or advanced user expertise. Microscan customers are eligible for a VIP pass to the exhibit hall and event essentials by printing and bringing the pass to the show.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
